Investment Insights (Q1 2022)

2021 was another year of uncertainty and ups and downs for investors and the markets.  However, the year finished with a relatively strong fourth quarter recovering some of the losses incurred at the beginning of the year.

2022 kicked off with some volatility in the financial markets, strained by the emergence of the Omicron variant. On the northern hemisphere, Russian geopolitical concerns continue to rise with fears of a Russian invasion into Ukraine. The US deployed over 3,000 military personnel into Poland, Germany and Romania as a show of support to NATO allies.
